When you go to buy a brand new Smartphone or a laptop the most important thing which is taken into account is the battery life i.e for how much time will the battery last for once it gets fully charged. Smartphones or laptops with good and decent battery life are usually more preferred.
Keeping this in mind the scientists of the Massachusets Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed a new battery technology that will further enhance the overall Smartphone and laptop experience of the users as they claim that they have developed a new lithium battery that will double the battery life of the Smartphone and the laptop i.e if after fully charging your battery you were able to use your laptop for 6 hours now with the help of this new battery your laptop usage time will increase as now the battery will last for 12 hours which is a very good thing.
With this newly invented battery and this new battery technology now travelling would become quiet easy as the battery of the Smartphone or laptop drains very quickly and it becomes a headache while traveling to charge your Smartphone or laptop. But this new lithium battery will overcome all of these drawbacks. The most amazing thing about these batteries is that these batteries can be operated very safely at a wide range of temperatures.”This newly invented lithium battery battery will be 20% cheaper than the existing batteries that are currently being used all over the world”, MR.Qichao Hu from MIT quoted.
This new battery technology has also been developed for cars keeping that in account that that the current batteries that are being used in cars need a lot of attention i.e they need temperature control systems to prevent them from overheating and catching fire. But this new lithium battery will lower the vehicles maintenance cost, as said by Sadoway.
The battery is likely to be produced for the consumers electronics products such as for mobiles and laptops by the first half of 2016 and will be developed for cars and other automotive’s till the second half of 2016.
